The woman behind Passion The Fitness Studio is a livewire! Talk to her for a few minutes, and you’ll find your inhibitions simply melting away. Anju has a background in teaching and counselling, and fitness happened to her post pregnancy. While it all started with Zumba, she soon wanted to share her passion for fitness with those around her – especially people who were sceptical to take the big step towards their wellness. What followed was scores of certifications in various realms of professional fitness training –

This is a high-calorie-burning group fitness program that incorporates the elements of dance and aerobics so beautifully that you’ll hardly notice you’re working out! Zumba combines both low and high intensity moves, set to Latin and World Rhythms. What you get is a guaranteed one hour of complete fun for both the mind and the body! Zumba helps burn body fat, increase stamina, tone muscles and improve balance and cardiovascular health. It’s suitable for various age groups; and is also a wonderful way to meet new and likeminded people. If you want a little extra, there’s Zumba Toning that emphasizes on toning and sculpting muscles with the help of Toning Sticks (light dumbbells); and Aqua Zumba, which incorporates the philosophy of Zumba to a water-based fitness program that is low-impact, yet high-energy.

At Passion, we’ve incorporated both low and high intensity moves and set them to popular Bollywood songs, so you can unleash your inner Rockstar and be totally “bindass”! But mind you, BollyMix is not your regular “thumkas” and “latka-jhatkas” alone. What you get is almost an hour of intense cardio workout, coupled with muscle toning and strengthening, as well as improved stamina and sense of rhythm. Is it going to be fun? Yes! SeniorFit is a group-based exercise format that blends peppy music with low to medium intensity movement, dance and stretching, suitable for the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs of older adults. The classes focus on moves that enhance balance and coordination, improve flexibility and posture, and build cardiovascular and muscular strength.
Kids’ Club at Passion is the perfect space for children between 4-9 years of age to play, dance, exercise, run around, sing or just be themselves. This unique fun and fitness program has been designed by Anju – ex school teacher and mother of three – to introduce kids to pleasures like dance, music, workouts, games and other activities that will explore their wild side.
Another exciting program is Mom & Me Zumba, where children between the ages of 10-14 years can enjoy a fun-filled Zumba session with their mothers.
You’ve probably tried Yoga before; who hasn’t in the modern world. But if you’ve felt that Yoga isn’t for you because it’s too slow or too boring, or even too quiet, you’ll be surprised what the Yoga classes at Passion can do for you.
Anju brings her vivaciousness to the peace and tranquillity of a yoga session, making it an uplifting and incredibly positive experience. Her sessions are ideal for beginners, who are sceptical whether yoga is really for them. Anju will hand hold you through the nuances of breathing exercises and yoga poses, allowing you and your body and mind to decide when you’re ready for more.
Here’s a fabulous way to strengthen and tone your legs and glutes – the Zumba Step fitness program. It combines the party vibe of a Zumba class with the powerful toning and sculpting aspects of Step aerobics. Together what you get is 40 minutes of calorie burning cardio workout with focus on defining your lower body.
Salsa“I’ve never danced before.” “I don’t have a partner to Salsa with!”
Don’t let these excuses come in your way of learning this beautiful Latin dance. Because we have good news – you neither need a dancing background nor a partner to learn the basics of Salsa.
Walk into our Salsa for beginners classes, and you’ll be surprised how many new friends you’ll make, what a good laugh you’ll have, and even how you CAN really dance!
Our classes are designed for first-timers, where we will teach you a couple of basic salsa dancing steps that you can show off at parties and get togethers, or who knows, even at a Salsa Social! All you need to get along with you is a good pair of dancing shoes; not even a partner. Just you, us and some great music, and loads of fun guaranteed.
Belly Dance (Basic)
This one is for the ladies out there who want to explore the mystic and playful side of belly dance. Ideal for special days like Women’s Day celebrations, a Mehendi function or even a Bridal Shower, our belly dance workshop can be anything from a 30-minute quick session of fun and frolic to a couple of hours of intense learning plus workout for the core. In the end, you’ll be glad you unleashed your inner goddess and shared the moment with your gal pals.
Our Salsa workshop is a lively routine at the end of which you will be able to sway and sashay with confidence. The workshop lasts for a couple of hours/over a few days, depending on how much you’re willing to take on. The goal is to help you overcome your inhibitions, gain better sense of rhythm and coordination, and learn a few basic salsa dance steps.
Choreography for events
Whether it’s a friend’s Sangeet or the Annual Day celebrations of your club or association, if what you’re looking for is help with choreographing simple dance numbers, we can be of assistance. Our motto is to tutor you in easy-to-learn dance moves and help you pick up the routine, while also assisting you with improving synchronisation and style. Come armed with your smile and never say die attitude, and we can rock together!
We do Zumba warm-up sessions for events like marathons and health-oriented corporate, educational and NGO endeavours. These sessions can be anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour, depending on the event and theme.
